More than twenty one years ago, Heather Moffett designed the Seatbone Saver saddle pad, in recognition of the problems many riders face in comfortably attaining the correct classical seat in conventional saddles. The memory foam used was also an ideal material for the formation of saddle seats, so two years later Heather began to design her own treed saddles using this, a seamless seat and set-back stirrup bars, later going on to design the SoftTree , FlexEE and Pad-dle saddle ranges. All this combines to give the rider greater comfort and security, while enabling them to sit effortlessly in the correct ear/shoulder/hip/heel alignment.
What is a Heather Moffett saddle and what sets it apart from other options?
Based on a unique Leather tree design offer the ultimate in luxury, feel and comfort for both horse and rider. These saddles are designed to improve on the optimum performance indicators of the combined assets of a traditional tree saddle and that of a treeless without the negative issues, they offer the feel and malleability of the treeless but offer the weight distribution assets of the traditional style, the soft comfortability and padding of the treeless but with the shape and support more associated with the traditional.

THE HEATHER MOFFET FLEXEE SYNTHETIC;
The HM FlexEE Synthetic is a a synthetic saddle based on a leather ‘tree’, . The FlexEE Synthetic, as with all Heather Moffett saddles, is ergonomically designed to allow the rider, even a total beginner, to sit in the correct ear/shoulder/hip/heel alignment with ease. The price is £599 and each saddle comes with a full set of gullet plates.

The FlexEE is a hand-made saddle, including the leather tree. Unlike a ready-made wooden or plastic tree, the leather tree takes up half the manufacturing time to make, so adds considerably to the saddlers time taken to make a saddle from start to finish. A leather tree also takes more skill to incorporate into a saddle, as unlike wood or plastic which is solid, leather being flexible, moves the whole time the saddle is being made, adding greatly to the difficulty. The lead time can also vary we estimate this is usually between 6-8 weeks

Introducing the Pad-dle! A cross between a pony pad and a treeless saddle. Built on a tree shaped leather base, incorporating the sweat flap, the Pad-dle has been designed with children in mind as well as adults up to 10.5 stones (for heavier riders we would reccommend our FlexEE leather treed range which can take riders up to 14.5 stones).

The HM Vogue is HM Saddles flagship model. The SoftTree is a revolutionary design unlike any other saddle on the market. Vogue saddles have no rigid parts, other than a small cantle support, which cannot be felt by either horse or rider. It is not like fully treeless saddles that are very thin and do not provide a ‘twist’ for the rider, instead our saddles allow the thighs to drop and legs and hips do not feel straddled. The SoftTree enables the saddle to flex with the horse's back, giving great freedom of movement, with no restriction of the horse's shoulders or back. Prices start from £1599.
